From July 31 to August 6, 2023, the activities of the 10th World Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange and the 6th World Health Qigong Scientific Symposium were successfully completed in Hachioji City, Tokyo, Japan!With the active organization of the host and organizer, the active participation of members and Health Qigong teams, and the strong support of all sectors of society, the first offline world Health Qigong activity held after the pandemic has delivered a brilliant answer!

01 Scale

A total of 538 people from 26 countries and regions signed up for the activities (508 of them offline). It is the largest scale in history. The opening ceremony of the competition was organized by the organizing committee of 800 Japanese collective Badanjin performance, the oldest performer is 93 years old.

02 Competition

A total of 235 athletes and 49 teams participated in the individual and team competitions of the 10th World Health Qigong Tournament. Among the athletes, 65 were male and 170 were female. The maximum age of the individual athletes is 82 years old and the minimum is 9 years old. There was one team in the team competition, all eight of whom were over 80 years old (the front team in the following first picture). For the first time in the World Tournament, regardless of the domestic group in China and the group outside China, the level of Health Qigong in China and abroad is gradually narrowing the gap.

03 Scientific Symposium

7 experts shared the research results at the 6th World Health Qigong Scientific Symposium. For the first time, a combination of online and offline sharing was adopted, and the first attempt was made to combine Symposium sharing with Health Qigong and other performances.

04 Training

A total of 77 people signed up for the Baduanjin advanced training course, 42 people signed up for the Liuzijue advanced training course, 108 people signed up for the Mingmugong training course, and 59 people signed up for the international referee training course.

05 Duan Exam

A total of 100 people have registered for the Duan exam. For the first time, Duan 7 exam was held first time outside of China.

06 Live Broadcast

The World Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange and World Health Qigong Scientific Symposium were broadcast live for the first time.

07 Unity

For the first time in many years, teams from Africa and South America participated in the World Health Qigong Tournament and Exchange. Teams from five continents gather in Tokyo.

08 New members

On July 31, the Executive Board considered and approved the BKE Wushu Academy (Cameroon), Traditional Chinese Arts Center (Venezuela), Comite National Francais Du Wushu and French Health Qigong Association to become new members, so that the International Health Qigong Federation has a total of 109 members, distributed in 56 countries and regions. The Executive Board also discussed and adopted a number of major intentions and decisions, which clarified the development direction of IHQF in the next two years.

09 Canada 2025

The Executive Board voted that the Canada International Health Qigong Association won the right to organize the 11th World Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange and the 7th World Health Qigong Scientific Symposium.The next events will be held in Vancouver, Canada in July 2025.
