On February 3, 2024, the third Executive Board of the International Health Qigong Federation (IHQF) successfully held a video meeting. The Executive Vice President and Secretary General GUO Hongfeng presided over the meeting and made a report on the financial situation and regulations construction of the IHQF in 2023. The Executive Board members conducted discussion on the revision of the main provisions of the Duan Regulation and the organization of online Duan examination, the program of arranging the Board members to communicate with members in separate areas, and the formation of the Expert Committee, etc.
In order to meet the needs of the majority of practitioners, especially for the intermediate Duans exam, the Board members voted to delete the relevant indicators of scientific research, teaching and promotion contributions which were attached to the Duan in the original Duan Regulation. The Duan will return to the evaluation of the practice level.
In order to strengthen the communication with the member organizations of the IHQF, the meeting proposed to give full play to the role of the Board members, arrange the Board members to contact the corresponding member organizations according to the continent.
The meeting voted to establish the Expert Committee, approved the nomination of Mr. ZHANG Mingliang as the Director of the Expert Committee, Mr. LI Jinlong, Mr. LI Wei, Mr. DAI Jangang and Mr. Willi NEUMANN as the Deputy Directors of the Expert Committee.
By attracting excellent professionals in Health Qigong and traditional Chinese medicine, competition organization, referee management and other related fields, the Expert Committee starts some of the urgently needed work such as training, and acts as the "incubator" to set up other special committees in the next stage. After the adoption of the vote, Mr. ZHANG Mingliang was invited to introduce the operational ideas, personnel composition and training arrangements for the next stage of the Expert Committee to the participating Board members.
At the end of the meeting, President YANG Chunbo made a conclusion and fully affirmed the results of the meeting, and called on the Executive Board members to jointly meet the challenges and opportunities in 2024.
