“The Advent of the Phoenix” is the 11th routine of the Health Qigong Daoyin Yang Sheng Gong Shi Er Fa. An ancient poem reads: “Phoenix sings in the flourishing age. Dragon has its own descendants.” Phoenix is a mythological bird, one of the Four ancient sacred creatures in China (the other three creatures are dragon, turtle, and unicorn). It is believed to be the king of all birds. For thousands of years, the phoenix and the dragon occupy very important positions in Chinese traditions. The culture of them is widely spread.
The Cultural Connotation of “Qi and Breath Return to the Origin (Qi Xi Gui Yuan)”
The name “Qi and Breath Return to the Origin (Qi Xi Gui Yuan)” has two meanings. One is “to absorb the yin qi and the yang qi into the body”, the other is “to move the tongue in your mouth like a red dragon swimming in the sea to salivate and improve health condition”.

“Wild Geese on the Sandbank” is the ninth routine of the Health Qigong Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong Shi Er Fa. This name first appeared as the name of a musical composition portraying flocks of wild geese calling and gliding on the sandbank in Guqinzhengzong written in 1634. There is also a Pipa composition with the same name, showing the same theme with a different tune.
The Cultural Connotation of “Golden Rooster Heralds the Dawn (Jin Ji Bao Xiao)”（II）
The meeting of the Mingmen Point and the Shenque Point can make the yin and the yang harmonious and improve vitality. According to TCM theories, the Mingmen Point of the Governor Vessel is located under the second lumbar spinous on human’s back. This point is the resting place of essence and mind, the foundation of the viscera, the root of the twelve meridians, the gate of breath and the source of the triple energizers.

An ancient poem read: “The home is so comfortable that the golden rooster comes to herald the dawn and the phoenix comes to rest in the yard.” “Golden Rooster Heralds the Dawn (Jin Ji Bao Xiao)” is the eighth routine of Health Qigong Daoyin Yang Sheng Gong Shi Er Fa.

Lotus is also known as “furong” (芙蓉), “lianhe” (莲荷), “lianhua” (莲花) or “hehua” (荷花) in the Chinese language. Every part of this plant has its certain practical value.
The Cultural Connotation of “Rhinoceros Gazes at the Moon (Xi Niu Wang Yue)”（II）
According to TCM theories, the Governor Vessel is located on the torso of the human body and runs through the center of the back. This vessel goes through the spine, belongs to the kidneys, intertwines with the brain, leads all the yang meridians of hand and foot, and is called “the sea of all yang meridians”.
