London, UK. On May 22nd of 2017, Health Qigong Federation UK and Confucius Institute for TCM of London South Bank University signed agreement on co-founding London International Qigong Center. More than 30 representatives from both China and UK witnessed the signing ceremony.
After long-term discussions and consultations with each other, Health Qigong Federation UK and Confucius Institute for TCM of London South Bank University decided to establish London International Qigong Center, in order to meet the need of society. The aim of the Center is to better promote the TCM, Health Qigong and traditional ways of health preservation, and to push forward the treasures of traditional Chinese culture.
Mr. Herman WANG(President of Health Qigong Federation UK) and Professor Yinong XU(Executive Director of Confucius Institute for TCM of London South Bank University) signed on the Agreement of Cooperation, and exchanged the copies with each other. Mr. Liu Aijie(Deputy director of the Competition and Training Department of General Administration of Sport of China), Mr. Lei Fengyun(Chief representative of China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, Representative Office in the U.K., and deputy head of the cultural and education department of State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, P.R.China) and Mr. Yang Chunbo(President of IHQF, and Chairman of Longcai Enterprise Group) made congratulatory remarks for the ceremony.
Both Mr. Herman WANG and Professor Yinong XU noted at the signing ceremony that, Health Qigong Federation UK and Confucius Institute for TCM of London South Bank University will systematically carry out various activities through the platform of London International Qigong Center, and hope to participate in relevant international meetings, lectures and important events.
On the same day, at Confucius Institute for TCM of London South Bank University, representatives from both China and UK also held vivid discussions about China-UK international sports exchanges. The topics included China-UK sports exchanges and cooperation, international sports scientific researches, training for rugby and football, Olympics, and China National Games.
