At the invitation of the Russian Traditional Wushu Association, 16 people from the Hulunbeier Health Qigong Association and the Manchurian Wushu Association of Inner Mongolia, China, participated in "The First Russian Chita City Elderly Taiji & Health Qigong Games" on Sept. 18th, which was hosted by Chita Sport Bureau, organized by Russian Traditional Wushu Associations and its Baikal Branch. Nearly 60 Chinese and Russian Health Qigong and Taichi enthusiasts participated in a two-day Games. The Games set 24 simplified Taiji, Health Qigong Baduanjin and Yijinjing, and other events.
At the opening ceremony, the Chinese and Russian athletes jointly demonstrated the 24-style Taiji and the Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin.
During the competition, a talk was held between Chinese and Russian Health Qigong enthusiasts. Hulunbeier Qigong Association and the Russian Chita National University reached an agreement on the development of Chinese traditional culture, Health qigong and Taiji entering the campus, and related matters. A formal agreement will soon be signed.
After the Games, the Hulunbeier Health Qigong Association and Manchuria Wushu Association taught the new students of Chita the Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin and Taiji.
In recent years, in the promotion of Hulunbeier Health Qigong Association and Manchuria Wushu Association, more and more Russian young people, the elderly are keen to practice Health qigong and Taiji. The Games and exchange have deepened further friendship of the Sino-Russian Health qigong lovers.
